Poland can boast a rich tradition of wind orchestras, which for generations have enriched the musical landscape of our country. These ensembles, often connected with local communities, have become an integral part of many celebrations, parades, and festivals. In today’s compilation, we present the best wind orchestras in Poland, which not only impress with their excellent performance but also cultivate and pass on musical traditions. Please note that the ranking is entirely subjective.

1. Orchestra OSP Nadarzyn

The Nadarzyn Orchestra is regarded as one of the best wind orchestras in the country, a fact confirmed by numerous awards won at international festivals, including in China, the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Oman. Among the orchestra’s most significant achievements are the titles of Polish Champion and World Champion in ceremonial drill and street parade competitions. They have also performed at the National Stadium with Dawid Podsiadło. The orchestra regularly gives concerts, gaining recognition both domestically and abroad, and its performances attract a wide audience. The orchestra’s most important awards include:

  • Grand Prix at the International Wind Orchestra Festival in Rastede (Germany) – one of the most prestigious accolades received by the orchestra, confirming its high artistic level.

  • Gold and Silver Medals at the Polish National Wind Orchestra Festival – The City of Leszno Wind Orchestra has repeatedly earned the highest honors at this prestigious festival, receiving both gold and silver medals.
  • Multiple Victories at the International Wind Orchestra Festival in Rybnik – the orchestra has achieved top placements at this festival, competing against the best orchestras from Poland and abroad.
  • Awards at the Polish National Review of Volunteer Fire Brigade Wind Orchestras in Ciechocinek – The Leszno orchestra regularly secures high rankings at this review, which is one of the most important events in the calendar for wind orchestras in Poland.

ZHP-OSP Wind Orchestra in Uniejów

Numerous domestic and international trips and participation in the most important events at the national, provincial, county, and municipal levels. At various festivals, competitions, and reviews, it has won over 70 trophies. It is worth mentioning the orchestra’s greatest successes from the last decade, such as:

  • 1st place in the parade drill competition at the 21st Polish National Volunteer Fire Brigade Wind Orchestra Festival in Krynica-Zdrój in 2011,
  • 1st place at the Polish National Wind Orchestra Festival in Konopiska in 2015,
  • 1st place in the Polish National Wind Orchestra Competition in Wąbrzeźno in 2016.
